Grilled Salmon is one of our favorite foods. Not only is grilled salmon delicious, but it is also very healthy. Smoked Grilled Salmon
Yield: 4 Servings
4 salmon steaks – 1-inch thick – 1 1/2 lb
1 T olive oil
1 t lime rind – grated
1/4 c lime juice
1 pinch of black pepper
1 t Dijon mustard
1/3 c sesame seed, toasted
wood chips of your smoking preference – soaked
In a shallow dish, combine the olive oil, lime rind and lime juice, black pepper and Dijon mustard; place the salmon filets in the marinade, flipping them to coat both sides of the salmon with the marinade. Cover and marinate it at room temperature for approximately 45-60 minutes, flipping the salmon filets occasionally.
Keeping theĀ marinade, remove the salmon from the marinade; sprinkle with the toasted sesame seed. Place on a pre-greased grill directly over medium heat. Add soaked wood chips – for smoking effect. Cover and grill, flipping and basting with marinade halfway through, for 16-20 minutes or until the grilled salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork.
