Two foods which are apparently healthy for maintaining an individual’s overall health especially in treating a number of major diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and heart problems seem detrimental if eaten beyond the normal amount of serving. In fact, any food that is consumed beyond your dietary requirement is really not good for you.
Wheat products such as pasta, cereal, breads, crackers, muffins and even beer are meant to boost your wellbeing however; there are few people who somehow experience intolerance wherein the body has difficulty in breaking down this kind of foods. During this time, an individual feels bloated or experiences several episodes of stomach cramps and this is because of potential gluten intolerance. That is why if you want to lose more weight, it’s good if you’ll trim down wheat foods in your diet especially if you’re concerned so much with your health and advisable for those individuals who have a few problems with abdominal cramping and intolerance.
The second food product which can also pose a threat to your health would fall under the group of fruit juices. Though fruit juices contain a lot of vitamin C, still it’s not healthy to include more amounts of these in your diet because of the amount of sugar found at the back of its label. Specifically, an 8oz. cup of fruit juice contains approximately 20-28 grams of sugar in comparison with a 12oz. can of coke which contains about 30-32 grams of sugar. If you’ll compare the two values for each product, their ratio is pretty similar right? In other words, since coke isn’t that healthy to consume so as the fruit juice chiefly because of its high amounts of sugar. In addition, fruit juices can cause mood swings and the most alarming incidence of type 2 diabetes.
On the other hand, if you really want to add some of your favorite fruit juices in your diet you may choose your favorite fresh fruits and make natural juice. These are full of vitamins and minerals plus these are loaded with lots fibers that are necessary for good digestion.
On the whole, if you really want to ensure your health make it a habit to choose all the foods you include in your diet. And always know what you eat because even if these are healthy foods, these can still be harmful if consume in high amounts thus, too much of anything is still bad for you.
